How does SSO via Microsoft Entra ID work?

Kinabase supports full single sign-on through Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD). Users authenticate through their existing Microsoft account. Directory sync automatically provisions new users and deactivates removed users, mapping Entra ID fields like job title and manager to Kinabase person records.

What does the Outlook integration do?

The Kinabase Outlook plugin lets users add emails as activities against records, view matching contacts and organisations, create new records from email content, and use Scan & Fill to automatically extract contact details from emails.

How does SharePoint integration work?

When SharePoint is enabled, Kinabase automatically creates organised folder structures for each collection and record. Files stored through Kinabase are managed in SharePoint with version history, and the maximum file size increases to 100MB.

What audit logging is available?

Kinabase tracks 100+ event types including user sign-ins, record changes, permission modifications, automation executions, integration events and more. Each event captures the user, timestamp, IP address and relevant metadata.

Can we offer client portals?

Yes. Kinabase portals allow external users to access controlled views of collections, submit forms, trigger workflow actions and collaborate—all through a branded portal experience with custom domains, branding and access controls.
