Need to move years of record change history into Kinabase? You can now import complete record change history in minutes, keeping every timestamp intact.
Whether you’re migrating from a legacy system or planning future price changes, the new record change historical import unlocks clean, reliable timelines so auditors and teammates always see the full story.
This enables you to upload historical information about the changes to the fields in your records.
Why it matters:
- Save hours – upload one CSV to bring your historical data into Kinabase in minutes.
- Maintain audit trails – every past or future timestamp is preserved automatically.
- Stay flexible – mix “past-facing” and “future-facing” imports to reflect real-world scenarios.
How it works:
- Open any Collection and click Import (CSV).
- Select “Import historical values for matching records.”
- Match your CSV column to your Record Field. Choose a fixed timestamp if appropriate, and click Next.
- Confirm the fields are matched between your csv & collection, and click Next.
Be aware, you need an additional 'Timestamp' field on your csv to tell Kinabase what the field values were at a given time. Best practice is to have this timestamp formated as dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss.
When to use it:
- System Admins: Migrating data from spreadsheets or another platform.
- Engineers: Uploading historical time-series data.
Try it now in Kinabase → Collections → Import.
