How to Access Kinabase

Getting into Kinabase from any device

Kinabase is a web application, so there's nothing to install to get started - you can sign in from any modern browser on a desktop, laptop, tablet or phone. If you'd rather have it feel like a dedicated app, a desktop version is also available.

1. In a browser

Go to app.kinabase.com in any up-to-date browser - Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge all work well. Enter your details on the sign-in page, or select Sign in with Microsoft if your organisation has connected Microsoft 365.

For the full sign-in walkthrough, including first-time setup and resetting a forgotten password, see Signing In & Out.

Once you're signed in, you'll land on your dashboard with your tasks, activities, and the collections you have access to in the sidebar. You can open multiple browser tabs to work across several collections or dashboards at once.

Tip: Adding Kinabase to your desktop taskbar or dock lets you open it like a dedicated program, without typing the URL each time.

2. The desktop app

Kinabase is also available as a desktop app for macOS, shown in your applications as Kinabase.

The desktop app updates itself automatically. To check you're on the latest version, open the help menu and select Check for updates - it will show Checking for updates... while it looks, and prompt you if a new version is available.

3. On mobile

Kinabase's layout adapts to smaller screens, so you can sign in from your phone's browser and keep the same access you'd have on a desktop - handy on the road or on the shop floor.

Add Kinabase to your home screen (Android)

  1. Open your mobile browser and go to app.kinabase.com.
  2. Sign in to Kinabase.
  3. Tap the options menu (⋯) in the top-right corner.
  4. Select Add to Home Screen or Add shortcut.
  5. Customise the name if you wish, then tap Add or OK.

Add Kinabase to your home screen (iPhone/iPad)

  1. Open Safari and go to app.kinabase.com.
  2. Sign in to Kinabase.
  3. Tap the share icon at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  5. Rename the shortcut if you like, then tap Add.

4. The same data, everywhere

Whichever device you use, you're looking at the same live data. Changes you make on your desktop appear on your phone straight away, and vice versa - there's a single source of truth for your whole team.
