VoIP Integration
Click-to-call from Kinabase records
Connect a VoIP provider and any Phone Number field in Kinabase becomes clickable - click a number on a record and Kinabase places the call through your existing phone system, instead of your team dialling by hand.
1. Supported providers
Kinabase's click-to-call integration works with four VoIP providers:
Connect using a token, your extension, and a caller ID.
Connect using your PBX address and a username and password.
Connect using an API key and your user ID.
Connect using your extension, and a username and password.
Only one VoIP provider can be connected per organisation at a time.
2. Before you start
VoIP is part of Kinabase's Integrations access, available on the Pro and Max plans. If you can't see VoIP Integration under Settings → Integrations, ask your System admin to check your organisation's plan.
You'll also need admin access to your VoIP provider's own dashboard, to find the credentials it asks for below.
3. Connect a VoIP provider
1. Open VoIP Integration
Click your name in the bottom-left corner of Kinabase, select Settings, open the Integrations section, and select VoIP Integration.
2. Select your provider
Under Provider, select YesTech, Wildix, Xon or NTA.
3. Enter your provider's credentials
The fields shown depend on the provider you chose:
| Provider | Fields |
|---|---|
| YesTech | Token, Extension, Caller ID |
| Wildix | PBX Address, Username, Password |
| Xon | API Key, User ID |
| NTA | Username, Password, Extension |
You'll find these in your provider's own dashboard, usually under its API or integrations settings.
4. Save
Click Save once every required field is filled in. Kinabase stores your credentials securely and click-to-call is available for your team straight away.
4. Making a call
Once connected, any Phone Number field on a record shows as a clickable link. Click it, and Kinabase places the call through your configured provider - using your desk phone, softphone, or however your provider routes calls for your account.
5. Permissions
Only a System admin can connect, change, or remove the VoIP provider. Any user who can see a record's phone number can click to call once a provider is connected.
